Experienced Representation For Serious Legal Issues

Marine Special Operations Command Staff Non-commissioned Officer accused of a premeditated murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and aggravated assault. Resulted in charges being dismissed after the Article 32 Preliminary Hearing.

Special Forces officer investigated for orders violations and not protecting classified material properly. Resulted in no charges being filed and retirement effected.

Navy Lieutenant accused of raping and sexually assaulting a female Navy Lieutenant. After a contested jury trial, the client was found not guilty.

Marine Sergeant accused of sexually assaulting and sodomizing a young child and later making admissions to the conduct. After a contested jury trial, the client was found not guilty.

Marine Corporal accused of possessing child pornography and solicitation. Client refused to negotiate a pretrial agreement because his rights were violated during the investigation. Pretrial motions were denied and client was convicted of some offenses. Later, the entire case was overturned on appeal based upon the pretrial motions that set the stage for the appeal.

Marine Sergeant Major charged in Federal Court with Possession of Child Pornography. Negotiated a favorable plea agreement and then convinced the Federal Judge to substantially depart (over two-year reduction) from the bottom of the sentencing guideline range.

Three co-defendants accused of premeditated murder and conspiracy to commit murder. Resulted in charges being dismissed after the multi-day article 32 Preliminary Hearing. *Update: One of the Co-accused was awarded the Bronze Star with a Combat Distinguishing Device.

Senior Staff Non-commissioned Officer charged in federal court of a substantial larceny of government property from Iraq. Negotiated a favorable plea agreement and obtained a downward departure from the bottom of the sentencing guideline range. Served in a camp near his family.

Senior Staff Non-commissioned Officer accused of indecent acts with a child, false statements, and assault of a child. After a contested jury trial, there were mixed findings. No Discharge, No Confinement.

Senior Staff NCO charged with a substantial larceny and conspiracy. No Discharge, No Confinement

Captain charged in federal court with bribery and gratuities from Iraq. Negotiated a favorable plea agreement. Served less than 12 months in a federal camp.

Officer Board of Inquiry for prior Article 15, dereliction of duty, and disrespect. Case closed, officer continues to serve on active duty.

Officer charged with dereliction of duty in the death of a Marine. Charges Dismissed.

Client charged with dereliction of duty in failing to stop another from driving while intoxicated. Jury trial. Not Guilty.

Former Marine with purple heart charged in state court with felony assault by strangulation. Tried before a jury. Not Guilty.

We negotiated a pretrial agreement for an Officer charged with negligent homicide and DWI resulting in injury. Facing four-and-one-half years of jail. After we presented our sentencing case to the jury, the jury awarded No Confinement.

Client charged with the escaping custody of CID and going AWOL terminated by apprehension. After arguing that our client’s constitutional rights were violated, the judge dismissed all charges.

Warrant Officer charged with Larceny of thousands of dollars, False Statements, and Conduct Unbecoming. Charges Dismissed after Article 32.

Captain at Board of Inquiry for assault and disrespect. Honorable Discharge.

We negotiated a pretrial agreement for an Officer charged with inappropriate relationships, indecent acts, false statements, and obstruction of justice. Facing years of jail, after presenting our sentencing case to the jury, the jury awarded No Confinement.

Lance Corporal charged with Rape. Tried before a Jury. Not Guilty.

Client charged, for the second time, with several larcenies facing five years. Charges Dismissed.

Officer Board of Inquiry for child abuse substantiated by the Command and Family Advocacy. After cross examination of the witnesses and our client testifying, the board found that No Misconduct occurred. Case was closed and the client continues to serve.

We negotiated a pretrial agreement for a client accused of Espionage, Failing to Safeguard Classified Information, Wrongfully Disclosing Classified Information and other charges. Facing Life without parole, he will be out of confinement in less than 10 years and eligible for parole in 4 years.

Client past the end of his contract accused of Rape and Adultery. Tried before a Judge. Not Guilty of Rape and findings as approved included only Adultery. He received an Honorable Discharge.

Sergeant in pretrial confinement accused of Rape, Indecent Sexual Assault, and Adultery. Tried before a Jury. Not guilty of Rape. Not guilty of Indecent Sexual Assault. Found guilty of committing consensual sexual acts. Punishment imposed was less than time already served. No discharge, no sex offender registration, released from jail the day trial ended, and re-enlisted.

We negotiated a pretrial agreement for a client in pretrial confinement in Japan accused of Violating Orders, Escaping Custody, Resisting Arrest, Domestic Assault, Aggravated Assault, and making Death Threats. Tried before a Judge. Client was released the day of trial.

We negotiated a pretrial agreement for a client in pretrial confinement accused of distributing Cocaine and Ecstasy (on and off base), Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute, and carrying a Concealed Weapon. Tried before a Judge. Facing decades of jail time, was released after 15 months.

We negotiated a pretrial agreement for a client in pretrial confinement accused of multiple uses and possessing Marijuana, carrying a Concealed Weapon, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of Steroids. Tried before a Judge. Facing years of jail time, was released after 15 months.

We were hired for parole petition after trial, secured parole and clemency for a client after being convicted of use, possession, and distribution of a controlled substance in a combat zone and being sentenced to two years and a Dishonorable Discharge. Client was released after only eight months in jail and his discharge was upgraded from a Dishonorable Discharge to a Bad Conduct Discharge.

Client accused of misbehavior before the enemy, solicitation to commit misbehavior before the enemy, dereliction of duty, and three counts of reckless endangerment while in Iraq — facing life without parole. Tried before a jury. Mixed Findings. After presenting our sentencing case to the jury, client was reduced in rank and given restriction with extra duties. No Discharge, No confinement. Honorably Discharged.

Lieutenant accused of, among other things, two counts of premeditated murder and desecration of dead bodies while serving as an infantry platoon commander in Iraq. Charges dismissed after a week-long Article 32 Pretrial Investigation.

Staff Sergeant accused of killing a Romanian Pop-Star while driving in Bucharest, Romania. After conducting our own investigation in Romania, the case was tried before a jury. The Staff Sergeant was acquitted on Negligent Homicide, but convicted on unrelated minor charges. He was given a letter of reprimand. No reduction in Rank, No Discharge, No confinement.

Corporal accused of wrongful use of Marijuana. Tried before a Jury. Not Guilty.

Lance Corporal accused of wrongful use of Cocaine. Tried before a Judge. Not Guilty.

Corporal accused of Rape. Tried before a Jury. Not Guilty.

Petty Officer accused of Indecent Acts and Adultery while in Iraq. Tried before a Judge. Not Guilty of all Charges.

Corporal accused of Perjury. Tried before a jury. Not Guilty.

Captain accused of adultery and fraternization. After the government refused a very reasonable pretrial offer, the case was tried before a Judge. Not Guilty of all Charges.

Staff Sergeant accused of accessing pornography on his government computer. Tried before a Judge. Not Guilty.

Corporal accused of unlawful killing of his daughter in a gun accident. Charges dismissed.

Sergeant accused of larceny of several thousand dollars by committing housing allowance fraud. Tried before a jury. Not Guilty.

Staff Sergeant convicted of sexual misconduct with two minors. Sentenced to 14 years. Successfully obtained a reduction in the sentence to 5-years. Additionally, assisted the Staff Sergeant with obtaining parole at two years.

Negotiated a pretrial agreement for a Captain accused of committing fraud, false official statements and larceny of over $50,000. Facing over 30 years in jail. The deal protected the client from serving more than one year in jail. After presenting our sentencing case, the Judge awarded only 90-days of confinement and a dismissal.

Staff Sergeant accused of adultery, fraternization and dereliction of duty. Tried before a Jury. Not Guilty.

Retirement eligible Officer Board of Inquiry for a Federal District Court conviction for possession of child pornography. Board recommended retirement in grade, No Reduction.

Retirement eligible Officer Board of Inquiry for sexual misconduct with a minor. Board recommended retirement in grade, No Reduction.
